What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linux Systems Administrator - Senior (TS/SCI) position at Praescient Analytics?
Praescient Analytics is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office to support one of our Intelligence contracts. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team as a jack-of-all-trades, maintaining applications running in Kubernetes, working as a Linux systems administrator, and working with the Information Assurance team to maintain systems documentation. This position is 100% on-site.
Required Qualifications:
• 5 years deploying and maintaining systems running on Linux or other UNIX-like systems – including at least 2 years of Linux
• 5 years of software/system design and architecture
• 5 years maintaining systems documentation
• 3 years of enterprise-level software development
• TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly required (No Exceptions)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Security or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user supporting deployed systems testing
• 2 years working with DevOps or DevSecOps teams in deploying and troubleshooting container-based systems
• 2 years’ experience with Kubernetes (Red Hat OpenShift or another variant)
• Experience with NiFi
• Experience with Requirements management
• Experience with cross-domain systems
Education/Experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement.
