Senior Construction Superintendent

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, execution, and completion.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute projects to meet client needs.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion.
• Develop and implement effective communication plans.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
• Supervise and train subordinate staff.
• Analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Provide input on project proposals and bids.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (highly preferred).
• 5-10 years of construction experience with at least 5 years as a superintendent or similar role, preferably on federal contracts.
• Experience in and ability to utilize the 3-phase inspection program.
• Demonstrated knowledge and track record of contract compliance in government construction.
• Must have an instructor-signed OSHA 30-hour training card.
• Must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
• Must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
• USACE CQM desired.
• Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management to projects.
• Proficiency in scheduling software desired (Primavera preferred, but MS Project acceptable).
• Ability to understand document changes and impact on the project schedule.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check.
