Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, execution, and completion.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute projects to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion.
- Develop and implement effective communication plans.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
- Supervise and train subordinate staff.
- Analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Provide input on project proposals and bids.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (highly preferred).
- 5-10 years of construction experience with at least 5 years as a superintendent or similar role, preferably on federal contracts.
- Experience in and ability to utilize the 3-phase inspection program.
- Demonstrated knowledge and track record of contract compliance in government construction.
- Must have an instructor-signed OSHA 30-hour training card.
- Must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
- Must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
- USACE CQM desired.
- Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management to projects.
- Proficiency in scheduling software desired (Primavera preferred, but MS Project acceptable).
- Ability to understand document changes and impact on the project schedule.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check.
