Prairie Lakes Management is currently looking for a driven go-getter with previous Regional Property Manager experience to join our team!
The Regional Property Manager is a key player in driving day-to-day operations across a portfolio of multi-family properties throughout the state of Minnesota and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Portfolio by implementing policies, procedures, and practices to enable each property to meet budgeted financial goals and achieve operational performance objectives. This position is based in Brainerd and reports to the President of PLM.
Responsibilities include:
· Provide overall direction and supervision of day-to-day property management with oversight responsibility for the management of the properties within the geographic region.
· Regularly visit site offices, inspect field operations, and review periodic reports from site managers to determine progress of occupancy and maintenance projects.
· Monitor and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures related to compliance with the Landlord Tenant Act and Fair Housing practices.
· Responsible for resolving resident relations issues and escalated complaints from residents.
· Inspects properties to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Evaluates maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping operations.
· Conducts periodic inspection of vacant apartments for market-ready condition.
· Work with Site Managers to review and approve the marketing plan periodically.
· Train and ensure Site Managers are utilizing AppFolio efficiently.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
· 5 years' experience required.
Bachelor’s degree
· Required to travel.
· Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Policies, and Fair Housing policies.
· Excellent written, and oral communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to manage effective teams.
· Knowledge of financial management.
· Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
· Ability to understand and respect values, attitudes, and beliefs that differ across cultures and to respond accordingly.
· Understanding of building maintenance and mechanical functions.
· Willingness to work, which may include some hours in the evenings and weekends.
· Experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite and AppFolio.
