Part Time Fill In Youth Care Worker

Prairie Lakes Youth Programs (PLYP) is hiring part-time Fill In Youth Care Workers for PLYP programs located in Willmar, Minnesota. As a Fill In YCW, you will help residents, making a difference in their lives. As a Fill In Youth Care Worker, you will be responsible for the daily general supervision of and interaction with residents with the goal to create and maintain a positive therapeutic environment. The YCW will support the resident’s behavioral plans to develop healthy options for the residents as well as providing support and encouragement for positive actions. This position included planning and implementing recreation activities, guiding group activities, teaching independent living skills, and assisting in any other individualized or group programming for the residents.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provides overall well-being support and supervision to youth
• Participates and monitors daily activities with youth
• Completed program and behavioral documentation
• Follows all applicable regulations and standards in regard to program requirements and assigned duties
• Transports/escorts youth to and from various activities
• Provides medication as prescribed by medical team
• Observes, records, and reports health symptoms, behavior, and other significant youth status
• Inspects living spaces as needed to report on conditions affecting the health and safety of youth
• Serves as a member of treatment teams
• Assists with laundry, clerical, and cleaning tasks
• Other duties as assigned
