Our company is hiring a Field Service Technician to handle variety of challenging tasks. You will be required to serve our clients in the field, offer them technical support and perform on-site installations and repairs to keep operations running smoothly and maximize uptime. This job requires you to travel daily and has a medium to high work load. Strong communication skills are necessary. You should also demonstrate technical expertise by understanding product specifications and be able to work independently without supervision.
Job Duties
We work on a large variety of equipment and dairy applications.
You can expect to work but not limited to plumbing, electrical and mechanical. Variable speed drives, PLCs, cooling and robotics are other items you will become familiar with. Schools will be provided for some of the equipment, system basics, milking basics, and cooling for a refrigeration license.
You will work out of Brookings SD. We meet in the shop in the mornings for paperwork and head out to the field. There will be projects that you may be pulled away from scheduled field work to help complete.
Hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm or until urgent items are completed.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair technical problems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades and modifications.
- Monitor equipment use to detect wear and tear and manage inventory.
- Using software, configure equipment for specific clients.
- Install equipment at client locations and troubleshoot issues that may arise.
- Maintain customer relationships by scheduling visits, making recommendations.

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
