Prairie Senior Cottages is seeking a compassionate and creative Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team in delivering exceptional activities in our home-like environment. We are seeking a team member who thrives on creating joy for our memory care facility in Isanti. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents through meaningful engagement, personalized care, and innovative activities. You are motivated to add meaningful engagement to all residents’ lives, recognize the importance of group and one-on-one interactions, and understand the needs of memory care residents. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will be creative, compassionate, and committed to providing love and support to our residents in a safe and enriching space. Prairie Senior Cottages offers a unique blend of intergenerational connections with animal-assisted therapy programming.
Key responsibilities in this position include
- Developing and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, physical well-being, and cognitive stimulation for residents
- Balance time between two facilities to design and implement activities and programming with directors and care partners
- Plan and coordinate events and programs tailored to individual and group interests
- Incorporate music and other creative approaches into programming to engage the residents and enhance the quality of life
- Address the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of the residents by knowing resident histories, stories, and interests
- Assist with feeding, transporting, and be able to offer general assistance to residents and families
- Create community connections with schools, religious organizations, and other entities that allow for engagement within and outside the communities
Qualifications for the Life Enrichment Coordinator include:
- Preference for experience in a memory care or assisted living setting
- Knowledge of aging issues and dementia care
- Possess passion for creating moments of connection and joy for elderly residents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to adapt to changing needs in a dynamic setting·
- Willingness to be outgoing and playful to engage residents effectively
- Some weekend hours will be required to ensure activities are consistent each day of the week
- You must have some flexibility in your schedule for holiday programs and special events.
- Must pass a background check

Pay range: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience
