The incumbent will be responsible for risk identification, loss prevention, and overall claims management. A key aspect of this position is collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide injured employees with quality care and rehabilitation treatment, enabling them to safely return to work.
Responsibilities:
- Display a proactive approach to administering PSGC's Workers Compensation program, encompassing an enterprise scope.
- Establish and maintain accurate case files, logs, and indexes; review documentation and records meticulously.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to conduct investigations into reported claims.
- C coordinate with the Benefits and Leave Program Manager on leave updates as necessary.
- Collaborate with and make recommendations to the Benefits and Leave Program Manager regarding matters related to requests for reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Verify job-related accidents with claimants and supervisors, initiate appropriate notices when needed, and monitor claimant case histories.
- Serve as a liaison with the work comp insurance carrier, case managers, employees, and team members concerning workers compensation claims.
- Coordinate data with the safety department to identify opportunities for minimizing future risk and improving workplace safety.
- Act as a liaison with all involved internal and external parties throughout the workers compensation process, providing education and assistance as needed.
- Develop and improve the administration of workers compensation claims when enhancement methods have been identified.
- Maintain strict confidentiality standards for claimant information and electronic data, adhering to organizational, federal, and state regulations, as well as PSGC policies.
- Responsible for coordinating with General Counsel on litigation management strategies for litigated claims, including settlement authority requests.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate file documentation, storage, and governance.
- Responsible for developing and managing a transitional return-to-work program.
- Perform other duties, including non-core responsibilities assigned.
- Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
