This Corporate Workers Compensation and Leave Specialist role is pivotal in ensuring that PSGC's Workers Compensation program is aligned with the organization's core values. This position requires a proactive approach to administering the program, encompassing an enterprise scope. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining accurate case files, partnering with internal stakeholders to investigate reported claims, and serving as a liaison with the work comp insurance carrier and other parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize risk and improve workplace safety.
- Collaborate with the benefits and leave program manager to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the workers compensation program.
- Provide education and support to employees and management on workers compensation policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of workers compensation claims and case files.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and PSGC policies.
- Develop and manage a transitional return-to-work program to facilitate smooth reintegration of employees.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, insurance, finance, risk management, or business administration preferred.
- Three years of experience working with workers compensation claims strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working with state and federal workers compensation laws.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency for preparation of presentations and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make recommendations to drive enhancements and process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and present professionally in front of various audiences.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
