Job Summary
This role oversees the Revenue Cycle, spanning from beginning to end, excluding coding. Responsibilities include managing the call center, registration, billing, and patient account services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the medical revenue cycle, excluding coding, in collaboration with the coding department.
- Supervise staff in the medical call center, reception desks, billing office, and patient financial services, including hiring, training, performance reviews, mentoring, and disciplinary actions.
- Effectively communicate with patients, insurance payors, vendors, staff, and providers.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as human resources, information technology, dental, and vision, as needed.
- Develop and manage relationships with external vendors, including claims clearinghouses and credit card companies.
- Establish, evaluate, implement, and revise policies and procedures for billing, reimbursement, call centers, and front desk operations.
- Address patient complaints and concerns.
- Oversee delinquent account collection and manage related activities.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
Requirements
