Job Summary :
Operate all types of welding, blending and stress relief equipment. Operate specified metal
fabrication tooling and equipment. Assemble units and other miscellaneous components.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Works from drawings and / or work instructions, set up parts and / or major components and using appropriate cutting and abrasive devices, prepare the components for
welding.
Locates and measures to and from the correct surfaces and provide detailed inspection information regarding the surfaces identified and specified on the provided work
instructions.
Understands distortion and heat input controls and measurement as well as correctional methods.
Uses suitable tools to properly contour weld parts and components to match complex and close tolerance configuration requirements.
Has the ability to read assembly prints and can follow instructions for assembling misc. components.
Has the ability to work within a team on builds that require coordinated efforts to complete.
Provides recommendations and general production process improvements. Performs any other associated job-related duties as assigned by management. Required Skills / Abilities :
Excellent attention to detail Ability to identify and solve problems Communication skills both verbal and written Understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices. Required Characteristics :
Dependable Positive attitude Education and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 years related experience Forklift experience and certification Ability to weld stainless steel a plus Experience with Mig and T16 welding Basic Math, English, and Computer skills Ability to use hand tools and / or power tools as needed Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods standing Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to work on unforgiving surfaces Must be able to work in hot and cold climates and in an environment with many noises and odors.
