What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Coordinator- Vendor Master Data position at Pratt Industries?
Job Purpose: Data entry and maintenance of the Corporation's Domestic and Foreign Vendor Master Data Records in
our SAP network system to support Purchasing and Accounts Payable functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry and Maintenance of Master Data Vendor Records requested by the US plants for the procurement of goods and services.
- Communicate with vendors and US sites to secure correct documentation of Vendor's Company data records such as address, financial accounts payable banking information, legal documents such as Certificates of Insurance, Indemnity agreements and Vendor's W-9.
- Provide support of any new acquisitions to Pratt's data mass upload into the Master SAP Vendor files.
- Monitor and maintain existing Vendor extensions to other plants codes to allow the Purchase Order & Accounts Payable function for the entire US Corporation.
- Support Corporate Purchasing needs with analysis of Vendor activity reporting, spend reports, and other projects as needed.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Detail orientated with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal.
- Manufacturing Experience preferred.
- Strong grasp of purchase to payment processes, including corresponding financial transactions.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- ERP systems experience preferred; SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage and analyze large amounts of Vendor data within a Master Data base network.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- College degree preferred.
