Summary
Job Summary: Provides nursing care usually within an assigned unit involving the administration of medications and treatments in accordance with physician's orders and established nursing procedures. Provides nursing services to women during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period. Provides leadership by working cooperately with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards.
Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing. RN licensed in the state of Kansas. 5 years of recent experience in related clinical area of nursing (LDRP). 3 years of nursing management. The nurse manager must be willing and able to deliver and demonstrate competency in patient care in compliance with standards of care. BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE certified. Previous OB experience is necessary with good technical and interpersonal skills. Requires basic computer literacy within a Windows environment, including word processing functions, use of the internet, and computer-based education. Experience using CPSI documentation software will be an asset, to include nursing assessments, electronic MAR with bedside barcode scanning, and Computerized Physician Order Entry. Successful candidates should be ready to use information technology in a meaningful way, in order to improve patient outcomes and ensure patient safety.
