Pratt & Whitney AutoAir is the Raytheon Technologies composite manufacturing center of excellence for aerospace OEM and MRO products, and is a sourced supplier on several new engine programs with noteworthy growth in the coming years.
Due to this growth, our business is in need of hourly associates for our facilities in Holt, Michigan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visually and dimensionally inspecting aerospace components.
- Communicating inspection findings to management or designated quality engineering personnel.
- Determining the scope of work and inspecting Aftermarket and OEM parts.
- Interpreting blueprints, visual specifications, coating specifications, and other inspection documents.
- Using calipers and micrometers and other testing equipment.
- Relating inspection findings on actual components to blueprint requirements and specification requirements.
- Demonstrate excellence working in a team environment and have proven ability and willingness to learn new tasks as required.
- Be a self-starter and possess integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Must be able to work any shift, including first, second, third, and/or weekends, as required by business need.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience in a production manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with machine metal and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical data
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to pass a hearing and vision test
- Must be able to work any shift, including first, second, third, and/or weekends, as required by business need.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience as an aerospace mechanic or A&P mechanic preferred.
- Previous experience with Calipers, micrometers and other measuring instrumentation.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred.
- Knowledge and care of precision tools preferred.
- Self-starter and possess integrity and professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pratt & Whitney HOLT, MI is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
