What You Will Do

This role is strategic to the test business and provides a direct connection to the broader PW engineering community for how focusing modern testing and experimentation techniques can achieve more rapid jet engine product development and deployment. The adoption of modern measurement systems such as optical based methods, provides richer, more complex data sets which require new data acquisition, test methodologies and data analysis techniques. This role is central to the development of these new methods and training of the workforce in their use. The Advanced Measurements Technology Deployment Engineer will work to integrate test methodology, data acquisition. storage and analysis capabilities striving to increase PW engineers overall technical expertise and adoption of the new technology. The internal focus of the Advanced Measurements Technology Deployment Engineer should include but not be limited too; test methods, BIG DATA acquisition and analysis tools, with enterprise level engagement, along with the test planning and execution concepts necessary to ensure data integrity. The external focus of the position should be on creating high value external partnerships while extending P&W technical leadership in deployment of these technologies. The ultimate measure of success would be that PW tests are run successfully and provide data of engineering utility that feeds our PW Knowledge System (EKS) for integration into the MBSE design models for integration and continuous improvement of our design systems/capabilities at Pratt Whitney. Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor degree in Engineering

• 10 years of experience or an Advanced degree in Engineering and 7 years of experience or a PHD in Engineering with 5 years of experience.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
