Department Overview
As a recent college graduate, you’ll have ample opportunity to use your skills and enjoy dynamic experiences. The Commercial Engines Development Program (CEDP) is a two-year rotational program for entry-level employees. Development occurs through four 6-month assignments across Pratt & Whitney’s Commercial Engine Business in East Hartford, Connecticut. The CEDP will provide growth opportunities and broad exposure to the Commercial Engines Business and aerospace industry, covering experiences across the Customer Business Organization, Geared Turbofan & Mature Commercial Engines.
Below are a few examples of the types of assignments you might receive in your rotation:
- New Engine Sales: Grows our portfolio of airline customers through exciting sales campaigns
- Fleet Management: Manages long-term engine maintenance contracts for our customers
- Programs: Manages the safety, reliability, strategy and profitability of our engine programs
- Marketing: Enables profitable P&W sales growth by educating customers, sharing market insights & knowledge and improving our customer experience
- Maintenance Cost: Analytical group responsible for developing & enhancing forecasting & pricing tools
- Spare Sales: Manages the logistics & forecasting for selling engine parts
- Customer Support: Builds and maintains our customer relationships and helps ensure our engine fleets are operating smoothly
- Business Development: Creates new and innovative approaches to selling our services to customers
Upon completion of the program, graduates are ready to assume a key position in the Commercial Engines organization.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Candidate may alternatively have a degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Fluent in English (verbal/written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- A positive, engaged, and enthusiastic work ethic
- A professional certification or certificate to supplement your academic degree
- Proficiency with building/utilizing digital tools
- Ability to work independently or with multi-functional teams
- Strong project management skills
