Pratt & Whitney’s Commercial Serviceable Assets function of our Commercial Aftermarket organization is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to conduct quality inspection activities at our Dallas (TX) Distribution Center (DDC).

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney’s Commercial Serviceable Assets function of our Commercial Aftermarket organization is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to conduct quality inspection activities at our Dallas (TX) Distribution Center (DDC).
- Conducting visual inspection on hardware with respect to correct identification, verification of condition, identification of defects, accuracy of maintenance documentation and applicable customer requirements.
- Participating in root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions relative to customer complaints.
- Initiating and/or supporting the Quality Notification (QN) process on applicable hardware.
- Assisting in performing quality audits.
- Supporting CORE/continuous improvement processes/initiatives within areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrating a commitment to achieving organization quality goals and objectives.
- Demonstrating a commitment to attaining Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) goals and objectives including compliance with all applicable policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive workplace.
- Demonstrating good material handling practices.
- Utilizing computers for a wide variety of material processing activities within area of responsibility.
- Able to lift and carry 30 lbs. of weight unassisted
- This position is for 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
- 3 years of work experience inclusive of aerospace quality practices and piece part inspection
- Experience working under a FAA AC 00-56 Voluntary Distributor Program
- Experience in piece-part inspection and/or shop maintenance on gas turbine engines
- Familiarity with aerospace part repair techniques and associate processes
- Maintenance/quality experience on one or more of the following gas turbine engine models: JT8D, PW4000, PW2000, V2500, CFM56, GTF
- Proficient in the use of relevant manufacturer maintenance publications
- Familiar with applicable repair techniques and associated processes
- Experience and working knowledge with relevant FAA and EASA forms and publications
- Experienced in the use of SAP
