What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift position at Safran Electronics & Defense?
A Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing and repair process to ensure they meet customer requirements.
Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and testing products and overseeing operations to ensure they meet production and/or repair standards.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Persons as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. green card holder), political asylee or refugee.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required. Associates degree preferred. Experience in calibration/instrumentation discipline. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Knowledge of electronics, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, electrical systems, are preferred. Background and/or knowledge of EH&S programs desired. PC Literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel. SAP knowledge/experience desired. Skills & Competencies Highly organized with a strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Works well independently and in a team environment. Support department and company objectives with other duties as required. FAA Repair man certification. This is a second shift position. The selected candidate will train on first shist and move to second shift, once training is complete.
