Senior Project Manager and Estimator

JOB SUMMARY: 

PraXel is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Substation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of T&D and substation infrastructure, excellent project management skills, and proven estimating experience. This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Project Planning & Execution:  

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. 
• Manage all phases of T&D and Substation projects, from initiation to closeout. 
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project alignment. 
• Monitor project progress and proactively address potential issues or delays. 
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and safety standards. 

Estimating & Bidding:  

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for T&D and Substation projects. 
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine material and labor requirements. 
• Develop and submit competitive bid proposals. 
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor bids. 
• Maintain accurate estimating records and databases. 

Crew & Resource Management:  

• Supervise and coordinate project crews and subcontractors. 
• Allocate resources effectively to ensure project efficiency. 
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and safety. 
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts. 

Client Communication & Relationship Management:  

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates. 
• Build and maintain strong client relationships. 
• Address client concerns and ensure client satisfaction. 

Financial Management & Reporting:  

• Manage project budgets and track expenses. 
• Prepare and submit regular project reports. 
• Analyze project costs and identify areas for improvement. 

Safety & Compliance:  

• Enforce company safety policies and procedures. 
• Conduct safety meetings and training. 
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations. 

Documentation & Record Keeping:  

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. 
• Ensure proper filing and organization of project records. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred). 
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in T&D and Substation project management. 
• Proven experience in estimating T&D and Substation projects. 
• Strong knowledge of T&D and Substation infrastructure, construction methods, and materials. 
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting. 
• Proficiency in project management software and estimating  tools. 

COMPENSATION: 

Salary: $60,000 - $150,000 (Based on experience)
