Praxis Resources Inc., a design, development, and manufacturing company specializing in

custom and short-run precision products for the aerospace and defense industries, is

seeking a full-time Machinist for its Gilbert location. Praxis is looking for someone who

combines technical knowledge, creativity, innovation, and passion.

Experienced CNC Machinist with CAD / CAM Programming Experience

Needed :

Required Skills & Qualifications

7 years of Machining experience.
3 years of CNC programming.
Knowledge of CNC Probing routines.
Knowledge of operating, programming, and setting up a CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, and

Waterjet.

Understanding basic machine edits and knowledge of G&M codes.

Proficiency in editing G code.

Advanced understanding of GD&T and print reading.

Essential Functions

Proficient with the use of standard machine shop measuring tools.

Excellent documentation and written communication.

Flexibility to work in a fast-growing environment with aggressive timelines.

Attention to detail, excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Maintenance of machines and other appropriate equipment.

Willingness to do various tasks assigned by supervisor or management to complete

the job.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the entire process of CNC operations from start to finish,

cutting a wide variety of metals, plastics, and other materials.

Operate mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, waterjet, and other equipment.

Set up, adjust, and operate all of the essential machine tools and many specialized

or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations while

collaborating with engineers and other technicians through hands-on experience.

Determine each project's best setup, machining strategy, order of operations, tool

selection, and speed / feed parameters.

Evaluate new tools, dial-in speeds, and feeds based on machine limitations,

material types, and tool library.

Demonstrate ability to select, procure, and organize appropriate tooling and

fixturing for projects based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, and

system capability.

Collaborate with team members to develop a standardized process for machining,

work holding, and setup to increase efficiency and productivity.

Collaborate with engineers, QC inspectors, and programmers to provide solutions,

feedback, or alternative approaches to solve technical manufacturing problems

with the design and manufacturability of tools and components.

Support engineering activities, including prototype development, proof of concept

studies, and process and assembly validation.

Perform inspections and measurements of product dimensions using essential

Quality Control measuring tools, probing routines, calipers, micrometers, depth

gauges, and other measuring equipment.

Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and other engineering design documents and

interpret verbal instructions.

Prioritizes quality on completed parts, holds tight tolerances, performs inspection

of own parts, and can inspect co-worker's work.

Help develop, draft, and update assembly documentation to guide others in

assembly processes and train others as needed.

and in writing.

Ensure all machining systems and components comply with industry standards and

regulatory requirements.

all workspaces.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. unaided

Ability to stand, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.

Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures

or dusty environments.
