Position Summary: The Electronic Hardware Design Engineer is responsible for designing electronic circuits for the Company’s products. This position works with other staff to design electronic circuits. The Electronic Hardware Design Engineer is also responsible for establishing methods and procedures and acquiring equipment which are used to ensure the Company’s products conform to emission, susceptibility, and isolation standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with other departmental staff to obtain product definitions for new products. Supplies technical feedback to evaluate the feasibility of the product definitions. Helps assure that the product definitions include complete descriptions necessary for product design and meet the defined requirements.
- Converts ideas and concepts for a new product into cost-effective and timely prototypes which can be evaluated for future development.
- Documents and maintains circuit designs in accordance with Engineering policies to be understood and altered by any competent engineer.
- Writes embedded product firmware and tests software to prove all hardware designs meet product definitions.
- Responsible for engineering validation of circuit board designs and to assist internal and external testers that finished circuit boards are free of defects and meet market expectations.
- Becomes familiar with the standards that regulate the Company’s products. The regulations include medical device regulations by the FDA and EU.
- Works with other staff members to create drawings and other technical specification and to release completed designs to production through standard Engineering procedures.
- Writes final test procedures and software applications to be embedded in the final products as needed.
- Provides the necessary technical information defining the operation and function of the design to allow the development of test procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to work well independently as well as work with others.
- Must have Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of a wide variety of digital and analog circuit designs and considerations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact and collaborate with a wide range of staff and customers
- Able to produce clear and accurate schematic designs.
- Must have enthusiasm for engineering in the field PRC-Saltillo serves.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors of Science degree in electrical engineering or equivalent education and experience is required.
- Three years of experience in designing microprocessor-based products with the design skills necessary to develop products that comply to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) and other regulatory and safety requirements is preferred.
- Two years of experience in analog design, including audio and power circuits is preferred.
- Specific experience is helpful in
- ARM, X86, Arduino and other series processors.
- Memory interfacing, personal computer (PC) bus, and peripheral chips.
- Integrated development environments (IDEs) for developing firmware, software, and configuring hardware.

Salary : $69,500 - $86,500
