Position Summary: The Mechanical Design Engineering Intern assists the Engineering team with mechanical design projects and documentation. Day-to-day activities may include computer aided design (CAD), drawings and other documentation, fixturing and research.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists in the creation of 3D CAD design related to new and existing products.
· Assists with the creation, evaluation, and testing prototypes of new or revised mechanical parts designed.
· Assists with the creation of documentation and assembly drawings.
· Assists in the creation of fixturing, tooling and CNC programming.
· Gathers, analyzes, and reports data from research and experiments.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
· High school diploma is required. Currently enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree Program is also required.
· Experience in CAD (computer aided design) and/or industrial design is required.
· Enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree Program is required.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
· Experience with 3D design and SolidWorks or SolidEdge preferred.
