SCOPE:
Business Administrator and Human Resources Representative Pre-Tech is looking for a versatile individual to split time into a dual role completing administrative tasks as well as to be the company’s Human Resources Representative based in our Williston, VT location. This person will be a professional who has a strong work ethic, is ambitious and is a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to solve problems and execute processes for continued growth and improvement.
-As the Business Administrator, this person must be proficient in Excel and be able to create data sets from information on in-house software applications. They will work closely with ownership and management personnel on special projects, and create spreadsheets for budgeting, sales and forecasting purposes while helping with billing and other administrative tasks as needed.
-As the Human Resources Representative, they will lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and empowerment standards. Finally, this position will adhere to and ensure that all OSHA safety regulations and other federal and state regulations are being followed.
CORE DUTIES:
- Responsible for the development of HR processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals
- Develops and coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs
- Assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues.
- Maintaining accurate information in E2 Software
- Completes 401(k), Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, payroll changes, and personnel changes
- Develop and implement staffing strategies to include sourcing, interviewing, testing, selection, offer recommendations and ensure effective and complete orientation
- Direct the timely and effective responses to employee relations issues
- Deliver education and counseling to the workforce on HR practices and guidelines including policies, administrative processes, coordination and communication of any new programs or processes to the organization
- Ensures accurate completion of all employee hiring and discharge documents
- Files and maintains all necessary employee documents both on paper and digitally
- Able to enter and process weekly payroll for all employees
- Works with the company management to ensure alignment of recruiting initiatives and development programs
- Creates requested spreadsheet data reports as well as any billing or administrative tasks and projects needed.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the adherence and administration of all HR and employment-related laws
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in decision-making, flexibility, planning and organizing, self-initiative, and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, reliable, reputation for confidentiality
- Able to work well with numbers, basic understanding of federal and state employment regulations
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 5 years’ HR experience desired (ideally in a manufacturing environment)
- US Citizenship is required
