The Housing Stability Caseworker is based within Preble Street’s Rapid Rehousing Services and works with Auburn-based individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless to quickly access housing options, prevent eviction, mediate with landlords, and facilitate referrals to supportive services. The Caseworker will provide rapid resolution of housing-related services, short-term navigation, all while ensuring the safety of clients and program spaces; participates in program coverage and outreach activities; ensures the collection, documentation and reporting of information and data as required; and works as a member of the RRHS team to support and achieve outcomes aligned with program goals and the agency mission.

Qualifications
RRH Stability Caseworker qualifications include education in social work or related field and experience relevant to working with people experiencing homelessness, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree in social work or related field of study, or bachelor’s degree in social work and 2-3 years relevant experience.
Caseworkers must also have an understanding of and alignment with Preble Street’s mission, positive regard for individuals accessing services for homelessness and poverty, and a commitment to providing low-barrier services, understanding of mental illness, substance use and co-occurring disorders as well as effective de-escalation skills, and crisis intervention skills; familiarity with community resources and the ability to maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations; and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time (40 hour/week) position with a Monday-Friday schedule, offering competitive pay at $22.45/hour and generous paid time off, insurance, and retirement plan benefits, including:
- 160 hours (4 weeks, accrued) vacation time, 96 hours (12 days, accrued) sick time, 32 hours personal time, 12 Paid Holidays
