What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Coordinator position at Precious Metals Refinery?
The Social Media Coordinator will support the marketing team by creating and posting content across multiple social platforms for the company and its sister brands. This role is ideal for someone creative and detail-oriented who understands platform trends and enjoys producing engaging, visually appealing content that aligns with each brand’s personality and voice.
Schedule
Part Time (20-25 Hours) -- Hours are negotiable (e.g., M-F 8:00 A.M - 1:00 P.M. or MWF 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.)
Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Create and post content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, & LinkedIn.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing Director and Media Director to align content with seasonal campaigns and promotional goals.
- Assist in shooting and editing short-form video content (e.g., Reels and TikTok).
- Write engaging, on-brand captions tailored to each platform.
- Monitor social media platforms for comments and messages, and respond in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up to date with current social trends, memes, and platform-specific formats.
- Brainstorm and pitch creative content ideas.
- Organize content and brand assets to support consistent posting and visual branding.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in marketing, communications, design, or related field preferred.
- Experience as a social media coordinator or assisting with social media accounts for a business or organization.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms.
- Experience with content creation, including short-form video and photo editing.
- Familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe.
- Strong communication, multitasking and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow direction.
Salary : $18 - $24
