Sr. Accountant

We are currently hiring a Senior Accountant with Manufacturing experience.

Job Description
Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within a manufacturing environment and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
• Manage and perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Conduct cost accounting and inventory valuation for manufacturing operations.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, providing variance analysis and reporting.
• Conduct inventory cycle count program, work with operation to investigate root cause and advise on inventory control improvement.
• Collaborate with the Controller to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation, not limit to bank reconciliation.
• Assist with new software implementation, specifically, AP Automation.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Global Shop, Epicor, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
