BSA Job Description
Working in a highly matrixed corporate environment, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for assisting with planning and overseeing multiple projects at once from ideation to completion, including analyzing business requirements; assessing feasibility, and making recommendations typically seeking to leverage new or existing technology components. The BSA will also be responsible for translating business requirements into functional requirements and helping secure cross-functional alignment on project scope, benefits, cost, and timeline. The BSA is expected to work effectively across various IT Shared Services teams, external third-party service providers, and other Commercial business stakeholders.
BSA Qualifications
- 6-10 years experience working in a corporate environment as an analyst/BSA
- Experience leading end-user IT system deployments – converting URS/use case into UAT
- Facilitating business community to create and/or update procedures; facilitate creation of and deliver end-user training (self-directed and/or ILT).
- Flexibility, adaptability to dynamic prioritization of workload – agility- looking for agility candidates that are able to pivot depending on the need
- Strong and effective communications with both technical and business teams on topics related to decisioning platforms, solutions, etc.
- Strong organizational capabilities with ability to self-manage time and multiple priorities.
- Strong information and analytical skills
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4-year degree required
BSA Responsibilities
- Will lead and/or facilitate the business activities required for successful IT system implementations.
- Ability to deliver results with minimal instruction, direction and leadership inputs. Able to work comfortably with risk and ambiguity.
- Can bring previous experience and outside influencers, diverse opinions and inputs to enhance outcomes.
- Openly and honestly communicates status, risks, issues of work assignments, working toward common goals and desired outputs.
- Ability to lead small projects with limited supervision, including scope, schedule, resources and budget, with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Supports project and program management to ensure proper and accurate status is communicated to key stakeholders including program and IT leadership.
- Ensures documentation is current and accurate, fact-based and relevant.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Proactively understand the business tactics and the technology needs of the assigned programs.
- Lead the creation of program roadmap to support the needs of the business. Ensure alignment between business and technology organizations.
- Uses technical consulting skills, expertise, and collaboration to translate business requirements to functional requirements for technology delivery team.
