Precise Systems seeks candidates with a strong engineering background to provide client support on technical supply chain projects and process day-to-day procurements supporting Precise Systems contracts with U.S. Navy's Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington D.C.
This position performs work on site, 5 days per week, at NRL offices, in Washington D.C.
Duties :
- Collaborate with clients, management, engineers, and scientists to support a high volume of customer needs
- Review and process technical and non-technical vendor quotations and competitive market solicitations
- Negotiate payment terms
- Perform order entry of different types of purchase requests
- Expedite deliveries, tracking, receiving, and resolving invoice and shipment issues when they occur
- Attend technical review meetings and serve as the primary point of contact for procurement actions
- Personally follow up on deliveries to assure items get where they need to go
- Provide office management support as needed or other tasks in support of contract operations
