Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Collision Estimator to join our team. This role involves assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and managing the repair process from start to finish. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automotive repair, is highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in working with insurance companies and repair teams to ensure high-quality, efficient repairs.
Duties
- Asses vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs
- Prepare precise repair estimates and supplements when necessary, following OEM procedures.
- Work closely with insurance companies, DRP partners, and adjusters to ensure proper claim handling.
- Communicate with customers throughout the repair process, providing updates and answering questions.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with technicians, parts staff, and management to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to OEM standards.
- Identify potential repair challenges and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Maintain company-established KPIs and ensure compliance with insurance company KPIs.
- Comply with company SOPs regarding process, communication, and documentation.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, consistently representing the company’s values, culture, and business objectives in all interactions with internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a collision estimator or adjuster.
- New York State adjuster license required.
- Experience with Nexsyis Management System (preferred but will train).
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with insurance DRP guidelines and compliance.
- Proven experience in automotive repair or auto body repair is essential.
- Effectively communicates with customers and teammates providing accurate estimates for repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
