We have an opening for an Inventory Analyst position at our Atlanta Corporate Headquarters.
JOB PURPOSE
The Inventory Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing inventory management, improving reporting capabilities, and enhancing financial analysis at PAG. This role requires a data-driven individual with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will develop inventory efficiency reports, support financial reconciliations, and assist in vendor management initiatives. This position is essential in improving inventory planning, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
· Inventory Optimization & Reporting: Develop inventory turn and efficiency reports for each PAG location, set targets for improvement, and identify opportunities for inventory reduction.
· MRP Development: Build Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools to determine optimal safety stock levels and timing.
· Excess & Obsolete Inventory: Generate reports that highlight excess and obsolete inventory, providing the sales team with actionable insights for liquidation.
· ERP to GL Reconciliations: Assist the accounting team in reconciling inventory balances between ERP and General Ledger.
· Vendor Spend & Accounts Payable (AP) Reporting:
· Establish and validate consistent vendor naming conventions across all PAG entities in Power BI.
· Develop reports to track consolidated vendor spend trends across locations.
· Identify vendors for renegotiation of payment terms to improve cash flow.
Additional Responsibilities:
· High-Demand Parts Planning: Work with stakeholders (e.g., Adam Fett) to forecast high-demand parts and improve inventory planning.
· Low-Demand Inventory Reduction: Identify strategies to reduce low-demand parts while minimizing financial impact.
· Market Price Analysis: Assess and track purchases of existing inventory where market prices have decreased, ensuring better procurement decisions.
· Part Tracking & Change Management: Monitor and report part modifications, including kitting, up-assembly, and substitutions.
· Intercompany Cost Analysis: Analyze cost differences across PAG locations to improve accuracy in intercompany pricing and financial reporting.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Location: PAG North Office - 900 Circle 75 Parkway, Suite 650 in Atlanta, GA.
Travel: This role requires occasional day and overnight travel to site locations. (25% or less of the time)
Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain management, or financial reporting.
Skills:
· Advanced Excel Skills: Strong experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, data modeling, and financial analysis.
· SQL Proficiency: Ability to query and analyze large datasets from database systems.
· Power BI Experience: Capable of building dashboards and visualizing inventory trends to support decision-making.
· Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret inventory data, forecast trends, and provide actionable insights.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with finance, accounting, and operations teams to align inventory goals with financial strategy.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience working with large datasets and financial reconciliation processes.
· Experience with ERP Systems: Familiarity with Pentagon, Quantum, or other inventory management systems.
· Process Improvement Experience: Ability to streamline reporting and enhance inventory tracking processes.
· Industry Knowledge: Experience in Aviation MRO, manufacturing, or logistics is beneficial but not required.
Software Familiarity:
· Excel: Advanced functions for data analysis and inventory modeling.
· SQL: Writing queries for inventory reconciliation and trend analysis.
· Power BI: Developing dashboards and visual reports.
· ERP Systems: Understanding of inventory and accounting integrations.
