Precision is the industry leader in the digital imaging repair space. Since 1948, Precision has continued to focus on delivering quality repair and aftermarket services to our OEM, national retail, and extended warranty partners. Digital Imaging (primarily camera and lens) repair service work is performed at individual, seated, workbenches, located in a clean, safe environment with low physical activity required.
Electronic adjustments are performed at custom calibration stations and optical adjustments are performed in our lens test lab. The position can provide an excellent path into other career opportunities.

Position: We are seeking an entry level or experienced full-time Digital Imaging Repair Service Technician. Our work week is 40 hours, Mon-Fri. We will train the right person as an apprentice technician, servicing high-end digital cameras and lenses. The ideal candidate is an individual who has strong troubleshooting abilities along with the necessary mechanical skills for installation of replacement parts and the supporting calibration required to meet manufacturer (OEM) specifications. In this position, you will work with our Engineering, Support staff and Management to solve the customer’s reported issue. Qualified individuals should have a history of mechanical aptitude and good hand eye dexterity to work with small components and hand tools. Previous employment history in automotive repair, electro/mechanical service or optical calibration experience is a plus.
Job Description:
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair digital imaging products for the reported failure.
- Test devices for functionality, communication between devices and meet QC standards.
- Repair equipment malfunctions and replace parts needed to meet Manufacturers specifications.
- Perform electronic and optical calibration through OEM specific and custom test equipment.
Applicant Requirements and Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with basic computer skills
- Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge to analyze.
- Technical school degree or certification; preferred but not required.
- Ability to understand and follow repair manual instructions and calibration procedures.
- Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail. Optical experience is a plus.
- Dependable / Reliable
- Photographic knowledge or a background / interest in photography is a plus.

· Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday through Friday with occasional overtime in evenings or on Saturday.
