The Project Manager is directly accountable for overseeing the cost, schedule, and quality of all projects and/or programs, with specific and direct oversight for the planning, design, and maintenance of substantial and complex capital and/or engineering projects. They act as the primary point of contact and must have excellent technical management and communications skills. The Project Manager has matrixed resources that indirectly report and have functional responsibilities including but not limited to engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, external suppliers, and customers. They are to identify potential risks and implement plans with actions to ensure successful program completion. The Project Manager is responsible for profitable and timely execution of a specific program or programs.

The Project Manager is responsible for profitable and timely execution of a specific program or programs.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the full life cycle of each project from initiation to conclusion Including:
- Develops, implements, and holds team accountable to Project Management processes
- Manages actual costs, schedules, and timelines, tracking overall performance by Project to ensure budgetary compliance
- Initiates and actions a program communications plan with communications distribution and feedback
- Directs and manages Project scope management and performance reporting
- Leads quantitative / qualitative analysis, abatement, and tracking of risk reduction activities
- Reviews and recommends contractor bids and capabilities and the engineering feasibility of project proposals.
- Prepares, analyzes, selects, modifies, and evaluates engineering designs, drawings, specifications, bill of materials and cost estimates for major repair projects.
- Oversees the design and construction of specific process equipment. After construction may assist in equipment testing, operator training and start-up.
- Conducts studies and determine equipment needs.
- Prepares Capital Expenditure Requests (CARs) and major Maintenance proposals
- Assists in developing long-range plans for CAPEX projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of direct and related experience
- PMP & Six Sigma certification or equivalent required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Excellent risk management skills required
- Highly proficient in MS Project and MS Office Suite. SAP experience also required.
- Ability to successfully interface/interact with all levels of the organization, including direct communications with executive leadership
- Effective problem solving demonstrated through ability to develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents consistent with organization objectives.
- Must be able to work efficiently with minimal oversight. Direction is provided for assignments in terms of desired outcome (goals), timing, and budget.
- Demonstrates leadership by managing teams towards adherence to organizational goals, operating policies, and budgetary guidelines. Manages team performance and is responsible for training and coaching.
- Ability to manages multiple projects/priorities that may run concurrently.
