Summary
We are seeking a Production Manager to join our dynamic team at Precision Color Compounds, LLC. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the production process by working with the Production and Maintenance Supervisors, ensuring that our high-quality color compounds are manufactured efficiently and effectively by utilizing effective leadership skills, capable of running extrusion lines, batching ingredients, preparing blends, and inspecting final product. Will be responsible for research, cost analysis and implementation of automating strategies to improve efficiencies and production. Coordinate any repair and maintenance issues and any repairs needed on all shop and production equipment, facilities and vehicles. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the industry.
Will work closely with color lab to ensure product meets all quality requirements, and production parameters are followed by Operators. Will requisition materials needed for production and replacement parts needed for equipment repairs and/or subcontractors. Will be responsible for preparing month-end reports and accurately preparing all necessary paperwork as required and any other duties as requested.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily operations in the manufacturing plant to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.
- Implement production management strategies to enhance workflow and reduce downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with business objectives.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintaining inventory, assigning lot numbers, shipping and receiving including packaging.

Qualified Applicants should have:
- Proven experience in operations or production management within a manufacturing environment is a must.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Plastic compounding operator experience.
- Ingredient batching experience.
- Basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage plant operations effectively.
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds and stand for continuous periods, climb portable steps & raised platforms
- Must be physically able to wear a negative pressure respirator and pass a fit test.
- Knowledge of resins, pigments, colorants, and additives is a plus.
- Molding machine experience is a plus.
- Excellent color vision.
- Forklift Experience.
