Description:
Job Summary: Act as project coordinator for PDC; Assist with completion of bid requests received by giving pre-design information to the estimators.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all aspects of project management: labor, design and conception, budget set up, ordering materials, budget monitoring, implementation, billing
- Conducts pre-estimating walk-throughs to assist estimator
- Assists with reading, analyzing, and interpreting bids and quotes, technical procedures, and governmental documents and regulations.
- Writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Effectively communicates with multi-level personnel as well as vendors and their representatives.
- Calculates figures and amounts such as material & labor and applicable discounts; interprets percentages, margins, and mark-ups.
- Verifies specifications or purchase requests, orders material
- Complete change orders
- Communicates with vendors
- Computes pricing and pricing margins
- Performs other related duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented quality driven, and capable of working without a lot of supervision
- Safety, Lock-out/Tag-out, HAZMAT, Forklift, Electrostatic Discharge, Foreign Object Damage, and Quality System knowledge
- National Electrical Code (NEC) knowledge
- Ability to read and/or understand electrical diagrams & blueprints
- Good math skills, including basic algebra
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of project management experience
- 3-5 years of electrical construction experience
- Good attendance history
