Purpose of role
The purpose of this role is to maintain financial records and assist in the general operations of the accounting department at Precision Equipment Mfg.
Responsibilities

- Updating and maintaining records of income and expenditures for the Chief Financial Officer
- Managing documents and receipts for general journal entries and bank reconciliation to be accessed by the Chief Financial Officer
- Performing internal credit card reconciliation when required
- Preparing and sending customer invoices in a timely and accurate fashion, and collecting on overdue receivable accounts per company policy
- Recording payments on customer accounts
- Preparing sales and use tax return documents for the Chief Financial Officer
- Responding to vendor invoices and ensuring that payments are made in a timely manner, in accordance with company policy
- Resolving payment and/or receivable discrepancies and disputes on behalf of Precision Equipment Mfg, and working with other departments to resolve account issues when necessary
- Maintaining confidentiality of business and personnel related information
- Preparing and maintaining spreadsheets
- Balancing employee hours in iComp and Global Shop for all Precision employees and temp agency employees, and properly submitting to other departments
- Assisting other departments with procuring necessary office supplies and handling employee expense reports
- Necessary filing and recordkeeping compliance
- Performs other financial duties as assigned

Candidate requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and be detail oriented
- Experience with accounting for a manufacturing company preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
Technology & Software Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams required
- Experience with Global Shop preferred; or demonstrate the ability to gain proficiency in Global Shop timely
- Working knowledge of Windows and proficiency with PC platforms

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
