Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and possess a strong understanding of ophthalmology and optometry practices. This role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing visual disorders, and recommending appropriate treatments or corrective lenses. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients through effective vision care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
  • Diagnose and manage various ocular conditions and diseases.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay updated with advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Assist in optical sales by recommending appropriate eyewear based on patient needs.

Experience

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory. New Grads Welcome
  • Strong knowledge of physiology related to vision and ocular health.
  • Familiarity with pediatric optometry is a plus, as well as experience in handling pediatric patients.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
