The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who can foster a culture of safety across all areas of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring thorough reporting and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and training activities.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing safety programs and policies.
- Collaborate with department heads and management to ensure safety concerns are addressed promptly.
- Monitor and track safety metrics to evaluate program performance and prepare routine reports for management
- Documents and investigates accidents, injuries, and safety concerns to understand the root cause and recommend solutions to improve
- Prepare safety reports for management and assist in compliance audits and inspections.
- Promote safety awareness through meetings, posters, and other internal communications.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management for safety-related issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA reporting and compliance
- 1- 3 years of experience in a safety-related role.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment processes, and emergency procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with safety auditing and risk management.
- Knowledge of accident investigation techniques and reporting.
- Ability to train and motivate employees in safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
