What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steel Quality Inspector position at Precision Laser & MFG LLC?
Precision Laser & MFG LLC is looking to secure a Steel Quality Inspector role,
Steel Quality Inspector:
- Experience in a fabrication environment is an asset
- Strong knowledge of welding processes.
- Review paperwork to ensure documents are getting completed and are accurate.
- Auditing, inspecting, and monitoring quality requirements according to customer specifications.
- Perform routine daily quality examinations including measurement checks of the automotive racking.
- Operate 3D printer
- Review engineering jobs
- Ensuring that product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements
- Perform welding inspection on fabricated structural steel components
- An understanding of the different steel grades/types is an asset
- Experience with aluminum, especially welding/manufacturing is an asset
- Open to quick design changes, fast paced environment
- Maintain field QC records
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specification
- Strong initiative and drive to work independently and/or as a team to deliver results.
- Ability to verify component placements, code compliance verification
Requirements:
- Demonstrates positive, can-do attitude with great communication skills
- Commitment to continuous learning
- Must be very organized
- Ability to provide continuous documentation
- Able to perform quality checks on all plant operations, and approve materials.
- To be responsible for First Article paperwork.
- Must be computer literate and be proficient in Microsoft
- An engineering background is an asset.
- Must be able to travel to the Canada (Ontario) if required.
- Work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer-focused environment

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
