What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll and Benefits Assistant position at Precision NDT LLC?
The Payroll and Benefits Assistant will play a vital role as the primary backup to the Payroll and Benefits Manager. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support within the Payroll department that reports directly to Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Assist in processing payroll for over 500 employees on a weekly basis
- Communicate with managers routinely to ensure all timesheets have been approved
- Audit non-paid employees list
- Assist in auditing timesheets and supplemental pay
- Attend and participate in weekly Payroll meetings with Management
- Process approved rate changes
- Review and research tax notices
- Assist in new state tax account setup
- Assist with Year End process
- Ad-hoc reports
- Assist employees with payroll questions
- Staying updated on current payroll regulations and laws
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

- Partner with Client Advocates to resolve employee inquiries

Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams)
- Familiarity with payroll software applications is preferred – ADP WFN is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong competency in the ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee data
- Basic understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws
