What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stamping Press Operator position at Precision Process, Inc.?
The Opportunity
Precision Process is hiring a Stamping Press Operator to join our team. As a Stamping Press Operator, you will be supporting our high-speed reel-to-reel metal stamping department equipped with multiple presses with speeds ranging from 100-1500 SPM. This is a full-time position, working Monday – Thursday from 2pm – 12:30am, reporting to the Stamping Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Operate stamping press machines and complete work order travelers, lot/reel labels, box content forms, and die maintenance schedules
· Perform visual inspections/gage checks for damaged parts
· Follow non-conformance procedure for containment of suspect/defective products
· Follow safe work practices
· Keep work area clean and organized
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
· Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
· Basic math and computer skills
· Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
· Experience with blueprints, micrometers, calipers, and indicators
Working Conditions
· Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature
· Steel/composite toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection required
· Could be exposed to background noise, odors, dust, heat, and cold
