Precision Repair & Calibration, Inc. is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration company located in Blaine, MN. with 42 years of experience providing equipment calibration services to numerous industries, including automotive, aerospace and defense, medical, and manufacturing. Our full-service laboratories offer calibration in many disciplines including reference level, dimensional, electrical, and physical. Provide onsite, in-house, and outsourced calibration services to partner with our customers for a one-stop shop experience.
Due to recent rapid growth, we have an exceptional opportunity for a Calibration Technician to join our Dimensional Calibration team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Dimensional Calibration Technician spends their time in the Precision Dimensional Calibration Lab performing calibrations on measurement equipment such as threaded plugs, threaded rings, cylindrical plugs, cylindrical rings, calipers, micrometers, indicators, pressure, and force gages just to name a few. Data from calibrations is entered into our calibration tracking software.
Previous experience in calibration is preferred. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree or related experience in a technical position is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
- Previous work in a regulated environment or knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540 is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage project timelines.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow calibration procedures and equipment-specific user manuals.
- The ability to work with numbers and perform simple math.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is beneficial
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
