Position: Graphics Technician Reports to: Plant Supervisor
Operate all equipment in the department including electronic engraving, proofing, polish master, grinder, and plating equipment. The position requires high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Promote a safe working environment. Identify and demonstrate use of machine safety and personal protection equipment. Demonstrate compliance with safety procedures, OSHA requirements and guidelines.
- Understand and analyze work orders, job specifications and details, blueprints, etc.
- Understands dimensions and tolerances to make quality parts.
- Operate and be proficient in the operation of engraving machines.
- Set up and adjust machine controls according to specification to produce quality parts.
- Utilize close tolerance measuring instruments. Proficient in performing complicated and diversified work to close tolerances with a minimum of errors.
- Analyze and maintain process data to ensure 1st pass yield requirements are met.
- Accurately record detailed roll data.
- Transport parts or rolls on transport dollies and/or safe forklift operation. Lift and safely position workpieces with hoists and secure on machines.
- Perform assigned duties in timely fashion or time allotted.
- Miscellaneous housekeeping and maintenance to ensure clean and safe work area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Gemba’s.
