Position : X-ray tech-full scope
Shift Schedule : Monday to Friday.
Shift Time : 9AM-6PM
Location- Westchester
Job Type : Full time (Monday Thru Friday)
Start date : Asap
Pay : 45$ - 50$
Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation
- Explaining procedures to patients.
- Ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Positioning patients correctly to obtain accurate images.
- Image Acquisition
- Operating X-ray equipment to capture images of bones, tissues, and organs.
- Using advanced techniques like fluoroscopy or portable imaging, depending on the case.
- Radiation Safety
- Ensuring proper use of protective measures to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
- Adhering to regulatory guidelines for radiation safety.
- Image Analysis and Quality Control
- Checking images for clarity and diagnostic quality.
- Adjusting techniques as needed to ensure the best results.
- Collaboration
- Working closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatments.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Maintaining and calibrating X-ray machines and related equipment.
- Reporting issues or scheduling repairs when necessary.
- Specialized Procedures
- Performing advanced imaging techniques, such as :
- Fluoroscopy for dynamic imaging.
- Computed Radiography (CR) or Digital Radiography (DR).
- Assisting with interventional radiology procedures.
Education and Certification
Scope of Practice
A Full-Scope X-Ray Technician may be authorized to perform imaging in various settings, including :
They may also assist with specialized procedures such as barium studies, angiography, and intraoperative imaging during surgeries.
