SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Inventory Specialist plays an integral role within the organization and will report to the Director of Supply Chain. This individual will assist in recording production, tracking the consumption of raw materials and components, and movement of materials in the inventory management software. This individual will work closely with team members in all departments including Purchasing, Accounting and Production.
KEY DUTIES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with month end inventory reconciliation
- Conduct inventory cycle counted and finished goods inventory
- Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and other departments as necessary
- Assist in the review and verify employee data through investigation and adjusts for errors and/or reports any reasons for discrepancies
- Manage of expiring materials
- Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory, and cycle count adjustments into computer database
- Inspect and verify incoming and outbound goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods.
- Accept or return merchandise according to established company procedures.
- Knowledge of safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials.
- Manage material movement within and between warehouses.
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
- Collaborating with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met

Requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 1 years relevant experience
- Experience driving a forklift a plus
- Experience with inventory management software, Fishbowl Manufacturing preferred
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/TRAINING:
- High School Diploma
- Forklift certification
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:
- Math skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work effectively across the organization in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- May be required to work a flexible schedule, occasional mandatory overtime
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged sitting and standing.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
