Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our automotive service team. Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle service needs.
- Document customer concerns and relay detailed information to service technicians.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance services.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, ensuring all customer interactions are positive.
- Follow up with customers regarding completed services and address any further questions or concerns.
- Keep records of all services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, including brake repair and general vehicle maintenance.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential to effectively communicate with both customers and service technicians.
- Previous experience in auto service management or as a service technician is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Experience in upselling services is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of customer needs.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
