We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our automotive service team. Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing their automotive service needs.
- Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues for technicians.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including oil changes, auto body repairs, and diagnostics.
- Schedule appointments and manage the workflow of the service department.
- Prepare estimates for repairs and services while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
- Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status and any additional services that may be needed.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used in each repair.
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services and repairs.
Skills
- Exceptional customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes, including oil changes, shocks struts, auto body repair, and automotive diagnostics.
- Experience in auto service management or automotive sales is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively relay information between customers and technicians.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with automotive service software is a plus.
- A background as a mechanic or in automotive service can enhance understanding of technical issues.
