Job Description

AZZ has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager at our Hamilton Indiana facility. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director you will sell galvanizing services into the metal fabrication market. You are technical, organized and your customer service/knowledge helps prospects identify the value AZZ brings. You love selling and you love providing the best customer experience possible.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer customers' questions about services, prices, timelines, and credit terms.
• Recommend services to customers based on customers' needs and interests.
• Contact established and prospective customers to demonstrate services, explain product features, and solicits orders.
• Estimate and quote prices, credit terms, and delivery dates.
• Prepare estimates and bids that meet specific customer needs.
• Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attend trade shows and conferences as needed.
• Monitor market conditions and product innovations.
• Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
• Follow up on sales leads and make cold calls to potential customers.
• Follow established budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications

• A self-starter with the drive and motivation to be successful in this role.
• Desire to learn about galvanizing and how AZZ makes our customers products better.
• 1-3 years of sales experience is preferred.
• Must have excellent customer relation skills.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of wholesale and distributor fastener markets is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license under no type of suspension.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
