Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant with strong expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales tax, and general ledger to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable: Oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
• Accounts Payable: Manage the accounts payable process, process vendor invoices, and ensure timely payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies, accounting standards (GAAP), and local tax regulations.
• Sales Tax: Assist with the preparation and filing of sales tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports, analyzing accounts receivable and payable trends to provide insights for decision-making.
• Client Relations: Monitor overdue payments and work closely with clients to resolve any outstanding issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and support for internal audits.
• Financial Controls: Support the implementation of financial controls and assist in audit preparation.

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in data entry, financial record-keeping, and transaction analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel), and familiarity with financial systems.
• Experience with Salesforce and CRM tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable and skilled in customer service, particularly with commercial clients at various levels.
• Experience with cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
