Preferred Healthcare seeks a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Finance to lead our financial strategy, management, and operational growth. As a key executive leadership team member, this role is responsible for ensuring the organization's financial health, optimizing financial performance, and driving sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in healthcare finance , particularly within multi-clinic operations , and possesses hands-on experience in creating, structuring, and launching a Management Services Organization (MSO) . This leader will be critical in innovating and shaping financial strategies, optimizing revenue cycles, and ensuring operational efficiency to support our mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's growth objectives, including clinic expansions, service diversification, and revenue optimization .
Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support data-driven decision-making .
Drive long-term financial sustainability through proactive risk assessment and fiscal planning.
MSO Development & Operational Finance
Lead the creation, structuring, and financial planning of a Management Services Organization (MSO) to centralize administrative, financial, and operational support for affiliated healthcare providers.
Develop financial models and business plans to support the successful launch and scalability of the MSO.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial benchmarks for MSO performance.
Oversee compliance, governance, and financial controls to ensure the MSO operates efficiently and within regulatory frameworks.
Ensure seamless integration of new clinics and providers into the MSO structure.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic business initiatives.
Analyze key financial and operational metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement .
Monitor KPIs and performance benchmarks to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) & Cash Flow Optimization
Oversee all accounting functions , including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting , ensuring compliance with GAAP and healthcare financial regulations .
Work closely with off-shore RCM teams to optimize revenue streams, improve collections and reimbursement processes , and enhance financial workflows.
Ensure cash flow optimization and working capital management to sustain operational excellence.
Capital & Risk Management
Manage the company's capital structure , overseeing debt and equity financing, cash flow management, investments, and capital expenditures .
Identify financial risks and mitigation strategies , ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices .
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to align financial operations with evolving healthcare laws and reimbursement policies .
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Lead financial due diligence, valuation assessments, and integration planning for potential acquisitions, mergers, or joint ventures.
Evaluate and negotiate financial terms and contracts to support corporate growth and expansion initiatives.
Technology & Financial Systems
Oversee the implementation and management of financial systems, ERP solutions, and automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure data integrity and financial reporting capabilities to support real-time decision-making.
Drive adoption of financial reporting software and other financial management technologies.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team , fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement .
Develop and implement best-in-class financial processes and training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Promote cross-functional collaboration with operations, clinical leadership, and HR to align financial strategy with business objectives.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required.
Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field HIGHLY preferred.
A certified Public Accountant (CPA) and CFA are preferred.
Experience
10 years of progressive finance experience , with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role .
Proven expertise in healthcare finance , with direct experience in multi-clinic operations or specialized medical services .
Proven experience in creating, structuring, and launching an MSO , including financial modeling, operational planning, and provider integration.
Experience working closely with RCM teams to drive financial efficiency, maximize reimbursements, and optimize billing operations.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and healthcare compliance requirements .
Expertise in financial modeling, strategic planning, and M&A analysis .
Experience with financial reporting software preferred.
