Preferred Home Care of New York, a rapidly growing Licensed Home Care Agency serving the NY Metropolitan area is seeking an experienced Bilingual (Spanish/English) an Electronic Visit Verification Specialist (EVV)
The expectation for preferred Home care's EVV Specialist is an on-going maintenance of the caregiver clock-in system. S/He verifies that caregivers are arriving on time to their respective patients' homes. Moreover, the Electronic Visit Verification Specialist [Weekend On-Call/EVV] plays a vital role in insuring compliance with the Office of Medical Inspector General (OMIG) regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Understand the administration and management of office operations for home care agencies.
- Ability to define problems and tasks, collect data and establish facts, take action and facilitate resolve
- Ability to perform various computer functions for information concerning patient and aide scheduling and coordination, assisting with communication between departments and overall office operations
- Proficient in Customer service and satisfaction
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Knowledge of billing procedures; basic data entry and/or word processing skills
- Ability to verify data input and correct errors
- Ability to use independent judgment
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Ability to interact successfully with people
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate;
- One year experience in other work related experience, preferably within the health care services industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HHA Exchange, and Internet
- Investigative ability, highly organized, self-motivated, takes initiative, excellent written and verbal communication and analytical critical thinking skills; able to perform without much supervision.
- Understands the regulations governing the home care field, related to Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance.
- Understanding of communicating effectively with employee, patients and their families, medical and community affiliates in order to develop positive relationships.
