What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Companion Care Sitter position at Preferred Hospice?
We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our growing team!! Preferred Hospice has 5 offices in Missouri serving over 65 counties in the state. Our offices are in St Louis, Dexter, Farmington, Columbia, and Ozark.
We are currently looking for caring and compassionate people to work as Companion Care Sitters in our Dexter office which covers the following counties in Missouri: Dunklin, Pemiscot, New Madrid, Mississippi, Scott, Stoddard, Butler, Ripley, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Wayne, Reynolds, Bollinger.
Companion Care Sitters work with the Interdisciplinary Team made up of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Social Workers, Chaplains, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Bereavement Staff, Volunteers.
The goal of Preferred Hospice is to have someone present at each patient's side at the end of life. Companion Care Sitters are used to provide the support and attention needed at the bedside through the last few days or hours of life. No hands-on personal care is required. Just a loving heart and compassion for the patient and their families and friends.
Hourly rate plus Mileage reimbursement.
Position is PRN---hours will vary depending upon the need.
We provide this service to our patients around the clock, so shifts could be day or night. Shifts are typically 2 to 8 hours depending upon your availability and desire to work.
